Minister Dionne Walters

Minister Dionne Walters

Minister

Minister Dionne Walters was born and raised in the beautiful island of Jamaica, in the parish of Westmoreland. In 2014, she migrated to the United States and now resides in Concord, North Carolina. She is a Registered Nurse by profession, an ordained minister, the devoted wife of Bishop Dr. Garnet Walters—whom she affectionately describes as her “rock”—and the proud mother of one beautiful daughter, Tomoia Dunn, whom she lovingly refers to as “her heart in human form.”

As one of the founding members of Solid Rock Open Door Ministries, Minister Dionne has faithfully served in various administrative capacities. She has played an active role in planning and coordinating ministry activities while providing steadfast support to her husband and the overall vision of the ministry.

Minister Dionne was raised in a humble Christian home. Her mother, an Evangelist and Prophetess in the New Testament Church of God in Jamaica, instilled in her and her siblings the importance of building a strong relationship with God. The values of faith, discipline, and devotion learned during her upbringing have remained with her throughout her life. As she matured, her love for God deepened, and she became firmly grounded in her faith through the many ways she witnessed God's hand at work in her life.

From an early age, Minister Dionne recognized that God had a calling, purpose, and divine plan for her life. Her passion for ministry and the work of the Kingdom continued to grow, inspiring her to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2013, she answered God's call to faith, and in 2016, she embraced His call to ministry.

Known for her intuition, discernment, and compassionate spirit, Minister Dionne is a people-oriented individual who demonstrates genuine love and kindness to everyone she encounters. She is gifted in writing and enjoys composing poems and songs. She also has a passion for decorating and creating beautiful spaces.

Minister Dionne is vibrant and joyful, with a contagious love for laughter and an appreciation for life's simple blessings. She firmly believes that gratitude should be a daily practice and a way of life.

Her personal mantra is: “I am strong, capable, and confident—gifted for greatness.”

This declaration is deeply rooted in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
